ArtiMod is committed to being transparent about what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used. This policy explains our data practices in plain language.
ArtiMod does not sell your data. We do not serve ads. We collect only what is necessary for the bot to function.
ArtiMod collects and stores the following data on a per-server basis:
| Data | Why We Collect It | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Guild (server) ID | To store your server's configuration settings | Until bot is removed |
| User IDs | To track warnings and moderation actions per user | Until cleared or bot removed |
| User display names | For human-readable moderation logs | Until cleared or bot removed |
| Message content | Sent to AI for moderation analysis; stored in incident log | 90 days rolling |
| Channel IDs | To identify where incidents occurred | Until bot removed |
| Moderation actions | Warnings, timeouts, bans — logged for server admin review | Until cleared or bot removed |
| Server configuration | Log channel, exempt roles, word lists, settings | Until bot removed |
When a message triggers a moderation check (contains a flagged word or link), ArtiMod sends the message content and surrounding conversation context to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. This is necessary for the bot to make context-aware moderation decisions.
You can review Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy to understand how they handle data sent to their API.
